CREATING A NEW RETAIL EXPERIENCE 

Creating a new retail concept that serves every part of the customers life.

Working with Public, the leading Greek technology and culture retailer, we answered their challenge to expand their product portfolio to cover every part of their customers lives.  

MORE CHOICE, MORE SERVICE, MORE EXPERIENCE

Our task was to establish Public as the ‘destination for Home appliances’, and to build on their reputation as the ‘most loved Culture and Tech retailer’.

We worked to integrate the Public brand image and new Home product ranges into their new larger footprint stores, a challenge typically associated with their partner brand, MediaMarkt. We created a blueprint for the new store concept that was to be used for rollout across a variety of various shapes and sized Public stores throughout Greece and Cyprus.

THINK LIKE A CUSTOMER

The new retail concept is focused on customer first thinking. With a redefined product strategy and a customer experience, giving all a reason to visit. Using our strengths in the customer routing and store planning, we created a unique visitor journey that subtly guides the customer into and around the store and through the three ‘worlds’ of Tech, Culture and Home.

Each ‘world’ is carefully located within the store, with adjacent products strategically located to maximise sales. The new store concept is designed to cater for the wants and needs of the customer. For example, a customer visiting the store to buy a new oven will also find frying pans, coffee machines and blenders; reflecting the way that the customer understands their own life.

Individual service desks are strategically positioned within each product area, alongside a dedicated service and check-out area located at the end of the customer journey, consolidating the in-store experience.

FUTURE PROOF EXPERIENCES

With two new concept stores now open, customer research at both, Mall of Athens and Gerakas, show a very positive reaction and the new concept has top ratings placed on instore experiences.
